We were very happy with recent furnace replacement & heat pump installation by Distinct Heating and Cooling. Nate did a thorough walk-through of our house when providing a quote, and explained pros and cons of various options clearly. The quote he provided was straightforward and competitively priced.
Kristian and Jaden did the installation. They were professional, efficient and very pleasant and did an excellent job on the install. They were always on time, cleaned up the work area at the end of each day, and explained use and maintenance clearly. Would definitely recommend Distinct and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I have been dealing with Distinct for almost 20 years and they have installed a number of furnaces in my house since I have 2 furnaces.
Aiden recently came and performed my yearly maintenance on one of the York high efficiency furnaces that I've had for 9 years and it was determined it required a new heat exchanger. Thankfully, it was still covered under the 10 year warranty as this is a costly repair. They got back to me within a couple of days and told me Nate was able to negotiate with York to replace the entire furnace instead of just replacing the heat exchanger so I would have a totally updated model!
A few days later, Kristian and Jaden came and spent over 5 hours replacing the furnace and installing a new humidifier and thermostat. They were very meticulous with the installation and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. They were very thorough and clean and I'm happy that I now have another new furnace that should last me for a number of years!
I would definitely recommend Distinct for all your HVAC needs!

Distinct recently installed an HRV and the experience was very pleasant from Nate's initial visit to quote through to installation. Scheduling via Erin was also very pleasant with quick and concise responses and she was happy to accomodate my availability.

They redid the plumbing on my hot water tank as well which turned out really well! Everything was well looked after and with a 2 day installation needing to leave tools onsite overnight, all tools were neatly packed away at end of day by Kristian with mechanical/laundry room looking neat and tidy despite a significant HVAC upgrade! Aidan is very personable and provided updates throughout the project. Final air balancing and commissioning by Jordan was quick and he provided a good overview of the HRV operation and maintenance. Interactions with all three technicians was pleasant and it was evident they take pride in their work! The technicians showed up each day within 15 minutes of stated arrival time and were respectful throughout.

If you are interested in the highest quality HVAC work - in an industry with questionable players - I would highly recommend considering Distinct Heating and Cooling. I shall be making exclusive use of Distinct for all my HVAC maintenance and repairs moving forward.

I've been using Distinct Heating and Cooling for over 10 years now. They always do fantastic work that is installed correctly the first time and they stand behind their quote.

When the original furnace died in my new (older) house Jordan and Aidan arrived quickly, and had the new furnace installed before the weather got really cold. As always it was done with great workmanship and full walk-through of all the new features and how to best use them.

I did quotes from 2 other companies but with Distinct you also get a bit of an education how the job should be done. When some of the other companies did not include some of these steps until I asked them I knew I did not want to deal with them.

We used Distinct Heating for our new water heater and furnace. The whole process was professional, informative and friendly. The quotes were detailed, with everything explained clearly and reasons why each item recommended was necessary. Other options like carbon monoxide/smoke detectors and thermostat upgrades were reviewed. The installation was smooth and efficient. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The staff we dealt with, Nate, Aidan and Kristian were fantastic. I’ve used Distinct Heating and Cooling for a few years now for my AC install and furnace maintenance. In this case my furnace went out during the holidays and Aidan was the technician who came and helped get it running again. He had to drive in horrible winter conditions and was determined to get my furnace going again. He was great to work with and I would highly recommend this company.

Our furnace was making weird noises and the humidifier was not working from the last job that we got done from a different contractor. Ed came in and fixed everything. He is super experienced and knowledgeable. We will highly recommend Distinct Heating and cooling! These guys are doing an amazing job!

Excellent service and wonderful experience. It was a very cold winter day and our bonus room furnance over the garage wasn't heating properly. Amazing customer service!! Called on a late Wednesday afternoon for some urgent repairs, Nate made it happen next day, fixed issues, and found some critical problems that other companies missed. He had the parts same day had another tech on site Friday to finalize repairs. Most others may not have even made the first trip for a few days….all during a -20C cold snap! I will be using Distinct for all my hvac needs and will be singing their praise to family and friends!!

We had our furnaces and humidifiers serviced. In addition we had two digital thermostats and sensors installed. All work was done perfectly. Jordan was a delight to work with. He was polite, friendly, informative and really knows his stuff. In addition he was always on time and kept us in the loop at all times. Erin was also very helpful in helping us to schedule our appointments. I can’t recommend Distinct highly enough. Our experience with them was outstanding. If I could have given 10 stars I would have.

My furnace served me well since 1987. I called Distinct and Nate met me the next day to explain the options . He provided a firm estimate that afternoon for high efficiency furnace, humidifier, air filter and air conditioning. The 3 day estimate was wrapped up by Kristian & Jaden in 2 1/2 days with old equipment hauled away and everything looking good. I can use my phone for indoor/ outdoor conditions remotely . Very Pleased.

Got a quote from Nate. He was very thorough on the scope and the quote was actually broken down unlike most of these other companies. Was happy to explain any of the little details that others also just glazed over.

Erin was great to deal with for bookings. The install was done by Kristian & Jaden. Was a pleasant experience. They definitely had it a bit easier as I removed a wall for them before hand and also no snow yet. They were tolerant of my hovering. Install is very clean.
Shout out to the guy they brought in to do the concrete coring, he did exactly as he set out to do and had minimal water intrusion.

The city and gas inspections just passed. First try. The thoroughness of Nate also helped in that due to again the little details even about smoke and CO detectors.

Distinct will be the only HVAC company I recommend.

My furnace was making some noise that concerned me a bit. A conversation with Nate at Distinct impressed me much and I immediately realised the deep technical expertise. A service call was arranged and technician Jordan assessed the situation and quickly swapped the failing part still under warranty. Again.. highly professional and knowledgeable with our York furnace. And super friendly and patiently explaining the problem. We have been very pleased with service provided by Distinct Heating and Cooling over the last several years. Prompt and efficient service. I also appreciate that they send the same tech for yearly furnace/air conditioning tune ups. Ed De Gracia is knowledgeable and professional. The company sends a reminder with a photo of the tech who will be coming to the house which I also appreciate.

Easy to book and received lots of information ahead of my appointment including a photo and bio of the technician, Aidan, who would be servicing my furnace. Aidan was on-time, informative, and provided excellent service - going so far as to recommend some changes that could be made in the house and providing insight into future work that may need to be done. Can't recommend Distinct (and Aidan) highly enough.

Distinct just completed an A/C and humidifier installation at our house (a 1960s bungalow). The quality of the workmanship is second to none- the reason we only rely on Distinct for all our HVAC needs. Quality is something you should receive if you pay for it, and Distinct holds up their end of the deal every time. We really appreciated how clean, efficient, and knowledgeably the job was done. Kristian (and partner) did an amazing job and went the extra mile cleaning up the original drainage to accommodate the new install. It looks fantastic along with the rest of their work. We had our air conditioner installed last week by Distinct, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Nate, the owner, visited our home a couple of weeks ago to assess what kind of unit would best suit our needs. We were immediately impressed by his knowledge, expertise, and commitment to doing things the right way.

The installation was completed with care by Kristian and Jaden, who were professional, respectful, and even took the time to be kind and patient with our two young kids who were fascinated by their work.

Had my annual furnace serviced by Ed De Gracia. I've always had great expereinces with Distinct Hearing & Cooling. Ed was very friendly and knowledgable while giving me some setting recommendations for my thermstat. Distinct Heating & Cooling installed a new humidifier for me recently and their service was top quality and very professional. When booking the appointment I was informed about how long the appointment would take and on the day of installation they were very respectful of my time commitments.

Ed did our install for us he was prompt, professional and willing to answer all my questions and gave us some helpful tips as we plan to add A/C and dealing with an older furnace. He took the time to ensure parts were replaced and that the finished installation was tidy. His attention to detail is greatly appreciated.

I had been having problems with my York furnace this past weekend. I sent a message to Distinct Heating and Cooling threw their website on Sunday and first thing Monday morning Laurie called me, just before she did my furnace stopped working again. She got me a appointment right away, my furnace guy (Landon?) was so nice and explained everything along the way. Thankfully it was all under warranty.
